New Hampshire Guardsmen Deliver Hope to Cabo Verde After Tropical Storm Erin

In a swift response to the devastation resulting from Tropical Storm Erin, which hit the Cabo Verde Islands off the west coast of Africa, New Hampshire Air National Guardsmen loaded nearly 40,000 pounds of life-saving resources onto a KC-46 Pegasus bound for the storm-stricken region.

The Mission

The mission was part of a larger humanitarian effort to provide aid to those affected by the storm, which caused widespread damage and displaced thousands of people.

• The Guardsmen loaded supplies such as water, food, and medical equipment onto the aircraft, which took off from Pease International Tradeport in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
• Upon arrival, the supplies were distributed to those in need through local aid organizations.
