Secretary Hegseth’s Visit to Singapore
The Defense Secretary departed Washington, D.C., to attend the annual Asian security summit in Singapore.
- He will meet with an assortment of defense counterparts to discuss key regional issues and challenges
- Topics of discussion may include maritime security, counter-terrorism, and humanitarian assistance/disaster response
Secretary Hegseth’s Statement on the Trip
“As we work to address emerging threats in the Asia-Pacific region, it is essential that our defense partners share our commitment to peace and stability,” said Secretary Hegseth.
The visit marks a continuation of the Department of Defense’s efforts to strengthen ties with key allies and partners in the region.
