The Water Quality Technology Availability Act
In June 2025, the United States Congress passed the Water Quality Technology Availability Act (H.R. 3900), a law aimed at improving water quality in the country.

Section 304(b)(1)(B) of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (33 U.S.C. 1314(b)(1)(B)) is amended by striking ‘‘technology in relation to’’ and inserting ‘‘technology that is commercially available in the United States’.”
