Expressing Support for Black Music Month
This resolution was submitted to the House of Representatives on June 12, 2025, and referred to the Committee on Education and Workforce.
The resolution expresses support for the designation of June 2025 as “Black Music Month” and honors the work of musicians, music creators, artists, communities, and congregations in creating and uplifting Black music.

The resolution recognizes that all American music has been informed and shaped by Black music in untold ways and calls upon the people of the United States to recognize “Black Music Month” through actions and programs that elevate the artistry, skill, and talent of Black music and musicians.
