DOD’s SkillBridge Program Boosts Southern Border Mission
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth recently signed a memorandum that enhances the Defense Department’s SkillBridge program, giving service members the opportunity to conduct on-the-job training in the private and civil sectors so they can successfully transition.
The Benefits of SkillBridge
- Gives service members the chance to gain valuable work experience and skills outside of traditional military roles.
- Provides a pathway for seamless transitions between military careers and civilian life.
- Promotes career development, networking opportunities, and professional growth in the private sector.
“The SkillBridge program is a game-changer for our service members looking to transition out of the military and into the workforce,” said Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. “We’re committed to providing them with the skills and support they need to succeed.”
