The U.S. Army is Ready to Celebrate its 250th Birthday
The U.S. Army Military District of Washington recently gave a sneak peek into the impressive arsenal that will be showcased during the upcoming military festival and parade, which marks the Army’s 250th birthday.
Heavy Equipment and Vehicles Ahead of the Parade
- Air Defense Artillery: The Army is showcasing its latest air defense systems, including the M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) and the M109 Paladin self-propelled howitzer.
- Armor: The Army will display its advanced armor vehicles, such as the M1 Abrams tank and the Stryker infantry fighting vehicle.
- Cavalry: The Army’s cavalry units will be featured with their mounted patrols and training exercises.
“The Army is proud to share its capabilities with the public, highlighting our technological advancements and showcasing the sacrifices of the soldiers who serve,” said a spokesperson for the U.S. Army Military District of Washington.
