This division aims to improve veterans’ benefits, including providing increased compensation for surviving spouses of veterans who die from certain diseases.

• Section 3001: Increased Compensation for Surviving Spouses – This section provides increased compensation for surviving spouses of veterans who die from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
• Section 3002: Report on Additional Medical Conditions – This section requires the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to submit a report to Congress identifying any service-connected disabilities that should be treated in the same manner as ALS.

This division includes various miscellaneous provisions, including a new law requiring all federal buildings to have electric vehicle charging stations installed.
